This policy explains what data E-Cards For You collects, why we hold it, how long we keep it, and how you can have it removed. See also our Cookie Policy.
When you sign up, we store your email address and your display name so you can sign in and so your saved cards belong to you. Your password is never stored in a readable form — only a secure, encrypted version is kept, and it is never visible to us or to anyone at E-Cards For You.
How to delete it: go to your dashboard and choose Delete your account. This permanently removes your account, your saved cards, and everything linked to them. It cannot be undone. You can also email us at support@charlieclarke.co.uk and we will delete your account for you.
If you use Birthday Reminders, we store the name of each contact, the day and month of their birthday, and — only if you choose to add them — their email address and any private notes you write about them. Those notes are visible only to you. We do not ask for or store birth years, so we never know (or record) how old anyone is. If you set a preferred card, we also note which of your cards you'd like suggested in the reminder.
Reminders are emailed to your own address — 7 days before each birthday and again on the day. If you switch on "Email them a birthday greeting" for a contact who has an email address saved, we also send that person a birthday message from you on the day, including a link to one of your shareable cards. That setting is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time.
How to delete it: remove a contact any time from the Birthday Reminders page, or turn the whole system off by deleting every contact. Deleting your account (above) removes all reminder data with it.
When you submit feedback, we store the name, email address, category, star rating, and message you provide. This is used only to read your feedback and reply if needed — the details are emailed to the site owner at support@charlieclarke.co.uk. We never add you to a mailing list and never share your feedback details with anyone else.
How to delete it: email us with the address you used and we'll remove your feedback. Because the form is anonymous (no sign-in required), we can't offer a self-service deletion button — but a single email is all it takes.
The cards you create, the messages people sign on them, and owner replies are stored so your cards keep working. Private cards are visible only to you. Public cards are reachable through their share link, which anyone with the link can view — so think before sharing sensitive content.
Signers who tick hide my name are shown to everyone as "Anonymous"; the card's owner can still see the real name, and can remove any signature at any time.
How to delete it: delete cards from your dashboard, and remove individual signatures from the card itself. Deleting your account removes all of your cards and their signatures.
We only email you about your own activity: account confirmation, password resets, birthday reminders you asked for, and notices when someone signs one of your cards. Every email includes an unsubscribe link where the law requires one. We never sell your email address or pass it to advertisers.
All data is stored securely in our hosted cloud database. Strict access rules mean you can only ever see your own account, cards, and reminder data; private cards are invisible to other visitors; and only the site owner can view feedback. Access is protected with industry-standard authentication.
You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time. Email Charlie@charlieclarke.co.uk or support@charlieclarke.co.uk and we'll respond promptly.
